You’ve heard about them!  Shopped in their merchandise!  So let’s learn where and how they all got started 


DAY 1: We’re off to WACO with overnight in Shreveport, LA.

Day 2:  WACO, Texas enjoy a guided city tour and plenty of time to shop at the Magnolia Market at the Silos made famous by Chip and Joanna Gaines of the “Fixer Upper ”TV show.  Overnight in Waco. (Dinner included) 


Day 3: Leaving Waco, we’re on to the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum.  Find out more about the domestic terrorist attack by Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols and a vast array of FBI investigations inside the museum. Overnight in the area of Pawhuska, OK.

Day 4: In the area of Pawhuska we will visit the Mercantile store owned by Food Network Star Ree Drummond aka The Pioneer Woman.  Enjoy shopping and maybe a pastry at the bakery.  Then it’s on to visit the “original” Walmart - the first Sam Walton store located in Bentonville, AK.  At the Walmart Museum you will see the first Walton 5&10 and learn about the history of the Walton family. 


In Bentonville, we will pay a visit to the Crystal Bridges Museum founded by Alice Walton. Once a decommissioned cheese factory, today it houses works of art by such famous names like Norman Rockwell, Andy Warhol, and Georgia O’Keeffe. Then onto Memphis. TN for overnight stay where you can enjoy a meal at one of the many Beale Street Restaurants. 

Day 5: Today we will visit the Martin Luther King National Civil Rights Museum that includes five centuries of history — from the beginning of the resistance during slavery to the seminal events of the late 20th century that inspired people around the world to stand up for equality. PLUS you can see his room where he was fatally shot at the Lorraine Motel.  Before heading home, we will do a drive-by/stop at the Elvis Presley Birthplace and Museum in Tupelo, MS
