GRACELAND and BEALE STREET
March 14, 2017
This Tour is Sold Out.
DID YOU KNOW: Graceland was once part of a 500-acre farm that was owned by the S.E. Toof family. The land had been part of the family for generations and was named after one of the female relatives.
When Elvis Presley was a young boy, he promised his parents he would make a lot of money
and buy them the finest house in town, putting an end to years of struggle. For Elvis Presley,
Graceland - a charming and stately colonial revival-style mansion for himself and his parents - was the fulfillment of that childhood promise.
In the spring of 1957, when Elvis Presley was 22, he purchased the home and grounds for just over $100,000. The previous year had been a whirlwind - it was Elvis' first year of super-stardom including historic network television appearances, record-breaking live performances and armloads of gold record awards. Over the 20 years Elvis lived there, Graceland created countless memories for the many friends and relatives who were a part of Elvis' life.
As the front door to Elvis Presley's mansion opens, you are taken on an unforgettable journey into the private world of an American legend.
Come with us, once again if you have been before, to explore Elvis' home and follow his amazing journey to music super-stardom through exciting videos, personal mementos, displays of authentic clothing, an incredible showcase of awards and much more.
On the return we will stop in Tupelo, MS to visit the birthplace of Elvis. Great photo op stop.
Lunch, however, will be on your own as we take you to explore Beale Street.
