You don’t want to miss this one!
Pure Southern Charm…
This Day Trip includes tours of
2 Southern Mansions with lunch.
Rose Lawn Mansion
is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This beautifully restored Victorian mansion was the
home of nationally renowned evangelist Samuel Porter Jones, for whom Nashville's Union Gospel Tabernacle (Ryman Auditorium) was built. Rose Lawn derived its name from the 200 rose bushes that once bloomed along the fences and walkways of the estate. You will enjoy a “guided” tour of this home.
An annual Arts Festival, held on the grounds at Rose Lawn, features the works of artists from across the Southeast. Fine art and Heritage Craft exhibits include oils, watercolors and pastels, sculptures in wood, brass and glass and many other unique hand-crafted items. You will have plenty of time to view all of the exhibits.
Grand Oaks Mansion
is where you can enjoy a home cooked Southern Style lunch. Catering to your individual needs and owned by a single family, you are promised a wonderful dining experience. A “self-guided” tour of this mansion home is also offered.
