Stately Oaks is a 1839 Greek Revival antebellum home in the land of "Gone with the Wind" located in historic Jonesboro, GA. The historic grounds are home to the main house, country store, one-room schoolhouse, cook house and much more.
Join us as we tour this grand old home lead by costumed docents after which we shall enjoy an authentic Southern style lunch served in the Bethel One Room Schoolhouse.
We will also tour the ”Road to Tara” Museum housed in the 1867 Historic Train Depot in Jonesboro. Here you will find a unique collection of Gone With The Wind manuscripts, costumes & Civil War history exhibits. Some of the exhibits showcase Margaret Mitchell’s china, reproductions of Scarlett’s most famous dresses, a hand-painted diorama of the two-day battle of Jonesboro during the Civil War and more.......
